Stand Strong in the Lord: Resources on Ephesians 6:10–18

Ephesians 6:10–18 is one of the most important passages in Scripture on strength in the Lord, spiritual opposition, the armor of God, and prayer. Paul reminds believers that the Christian life includes both spiritual blessing and spiritual battle. We do not stand in our own strength, and God has not left his people defenseless.

This message, “Stand Strong in the Lord,” was preached from Ephesians 6:10–18 at West Angeles Church of God in Christ. The sermon video is embedded below for those who would like to watch the message, and the sermon notes are available for those who would like to follow along, return to the Scriptures, or use the material for reflection and prayer.

The message follows four movements:

  1. Find your strength in the Lord.
  2. Recognize the battle you are in.
  3. Put on the armor God provides.
  4. Keep praying in the Spirit.
